Build an Ironbridge style coracle using simple tools and techniques to suit all levels of experience and ability. You will learn to select suitable ash laths, techniques of bending laths to shape, nailing, clenching nails, and fixing and tailoring the calico cover then waterproofing with bituminised paint.

Coracles have been around for thousands of years, evolving as a cheap, simple craft that anybody could make and used for all sorts of short river work, particularly fishing. They are easy to transport and store and are very environmentally friendly.
