There is always a use for a hand-made light basket – ideal for gardening, harvesting and shopping. This course will teach you how to make your own Sussex Trug, one of the original baskets used for the collection of farm and garden products. The traditional materials used are sweet chestnut for the rims and hand and willow for the slats, all held together with copper tacks.
