Finding Us

The Green Wood Centre is located in the heart of the Severn Gorge just a short way from historic Ironbridge and the surrounding World Heritage Site. The venue is easily accessible from the M54 Motorway, Telford Town Centre and the Rail Station.

By Train or Bus

There are frequent trains to Telford from Birmingham and Wales/Cheshire and buses run regularly from Telford Town Centre to Ironbridge Monday through Saturday although they are infrequent on Sunday. Buses run several times a day Monday through Saturday from Shrewsbury, Bridgnorth, and Much Wenlock.

- Traveline is the best option for travel planning at www.traveline.org.uk

- The majority of the buses are run by Arriva and schedules can be found at www.arrivabus.co.uk

- Further public transport information can be obtained from Telford Travelink on 01952 200005

By Bicycle

We encourage people to arrive at our site in a sustainable way and offer a course discount to those arriving by bicycle and have facilities for you to safely lock up your cycle. Sustrans offers cycle maps for most of the UK including several traffic-free routes in Shropshire. All cycle maps are available at www.sustrans.org.uk

By Car

If traveling by car, from the M54 motorway, exit at Junction 4 (from the east) or Junction 6 (from the west) and follow signs for the Ironbridge Gorge and Ironbridge Museums. The Green Wood Centre is based in Station Road in Coalbrookdale, the entrance to which is opposite Dale End Park and the Valley Hotel in Ironbridge.

Parking

Parking is available on site and also at Dale End Car Park which is just a few minutes walk from the venue.
