The Cruck Framed Barn

The Cruck Framed Barn was constructed in 1988, based on the traditional tithe barn.

The frame is made from oak, ash and elm from the Gorge woodlands, the roof is covered with chestnut shingles and the wall panels are woven with hazel and sweet chestnut.

The barn is used for training in traditional crafts for schools, community groups and others and is equipped with work benches and tool store to provide a valuable teaching resource.

The Cruck Framed Barn is shown in the foreground with the workshop in the back
