own 5 bar gate made from green wood.
The course will include an introduction
to types of wood used for cleft gate
making; coppice rotations; traditional
uses of gates and hurdles; how to build
a cleaving break and the use of specific
hand tools. You will then construct
a 6’ by 3’ five bar gate.
